Sicily Tour - Gastronomic Tour

Details:
You leave Malta from the Valletta Waterfront embarking on one of the Virtu Ferries’ modern catamarans. The ferry arrives in Pozzallo, which is a typical Sicilian fishing village.

From there we leave for Marzamemi where we will visit both the village and the Campisi establishment, famous for its preserves. Campisi is a leading manufacturer in the sector of fish products: fish eggs, raw tuna (bottarga), red tuna, traditional Sicilian sauces, and preserves made from the famous Pachino tomatoes cultivated only in this area of Sicily.

After that we visit a wine cellar which produces wines from local grapes, particularly the Nero D’Avola and the famous desert wine Moscato di Noto that you just have to try!

We then go to La Diga di S. Rosalia for a typical Sicilian lunch (set menu) in an agriturismo which also includes water, wine and coffee.

In the afternoon, you visit the beautiful city of Modica, a UNESCO “World Heritage Site” and the famous Bonaiuto Chocolate factory.  Here you will have some free time to discover Modica, the tasty chocolate and just take your time.

Following that, the trip continues to a local farm which produces different types of cheeses inlcluding Caciocavallo Ragusano before heading back to Pozallo to embark the ferry to Malta.
